Friends of the Tivoli Foundation
The Tivoli Theatre Foundation recently launched the Friends of the Tivoli program. This membership program gives loyal supporters the opportunity to enjoy exclusive member only events, ticket pre-sale opportunities, VIP parking and other unique benefits. Contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law and this support ensures that the Tivoli Foundation will move towards sustainable operations by covering the gap that ticket sales alone cannot generate. Friends of the Tivoli also support the Foundation’s mission to promote quality of life in Chattanooga by helping to underwrite costs and expenses associated with the Tivoli Foundation's support of community groups and others that utilize the unique public venues.
Capital Giving
The Tivoli Foundation has undertaken several capital improvements to both the Tivoli Theatre and the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium since its inception in 2015. The Foundation’s recently launched capital giving programs are a priority of the Foundation and contributions go solely to capital expenses like major repairs, equipment upgrades, replacement of items like seats and carpets, projection equipment for an upcoming film series, marquee maintenance, and many other needed items in the two nearly 100 year old theatres. Capital gifts are never used to cover operating expenses and ensure the Tivoli Theatre and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium last for generations to come.
Endowment
For decades, the Tivoli Theatre and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium have experienced inconsistent maintenance and upkeep. Gifts to the Tivoli Foundation endowment create permanent sources of revolving funds that create a reserve of resources to ensure that the Foundation can properly maintain both venues while also furthering the Foundation's mission by supporting important community initiatives and historic partnerships.
Planned gifts may include a gift made through a will, a trust, life insurance, retirement assets and many other methods. Donors can find the right type of gift that meets his or her needs and life situation, while helping to ensure the future of the Tivoli Theatre and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium and the important role both have played in the cultural and economic history of the community. Through gift planning, donors may find a way to protect their financial future, while making a gift that goes far beyond what may have been possible with current income.
Sponsorships
Support from community partners is a crucial component to success for the Tivoli Theatre Foundation. Through partner support, the Foundation is able to make more shows possible, attract more people to the city, and enrich the quality of life in Chattanooga. Corporate and other sponsorships not only support the number of presentations at the venue, but also activate the local community. By partnering with the Tivoli Theatre Foundation, Corporate donors receive very valuable recognition through affiliation with landmark Chattanooga venues, unique benefit packages, and also support the city’s cultural scene and drive economic development.
Undesignated gifts to the Tivoli Theatre Foundation are always welcome and will be allocated where most needed.
